Peripheral Nerve Tumours

Usually benign growths on the body’s nerves — treatable with specialised surgery.
In brief
  • Tumours arising from the nerves outside the brain and spinal cord
  • Most are benign (for example schwannoma or neurofibroma)
  • Can cause a lump, pain, tingling or weakness
  • Diagnosed on MRI and ultrasound
  • Typically managed conservatively, though occasionally requires careful surgical removal, preserving underlying nerve function
A detailed information sheet on Peripheral Nerve Tumours is currently being prepared. In the meantime, Mr Russell welcomes the opportunity to discuss your diagnosis and treatment options with you.
